Experiences

2 years 4 months (Jan 2022 – May 2024) as a helper in Kuwait

Rosalyn worked in a flat with 2-bedrooms, 3-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a family of 3 with an 89-year-old bedridden diabetic female with Alzheimer’s disease, and she looked after her welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, laundry, ironing and folding.

(May 2024 – Jul 2024)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Dubai.

1 year 1 month (Jul 2024 – Aug 2025) as a helper in Dubai

Rosalyn worked in a 2-storey house with 6-bedrooms, 6-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Brazilian-Turkish family of 5 with an 8-month-old and 2-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with 2 Filipino co-helpers. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the children, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, looks after her children welfare and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. 



Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk, meals and fed them, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, kept company and soothed them to sleep, administered their vitamins and medications, watched over their playing, maintained cleanliness and hygiene, accompanied them for outdoor sunshine, relaxation and during night hours, dressed and sent to-and-fro from school, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In Kuwait, she prepared her meals and fed her, bathed and dressed with fresh clothing and diapers, checked and monitored vital signs, such as blood pressure and sugar level, changed bed position, accompanied her for outdoor sunshine, relaxation and medical check-ups, transferred from bed to wheelchair and vice versa, administered vitamins and medications, attended to and assisted in her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. 



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Rosalyn is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
