Experiences

6 years 3 months (Jul 2013 – Oct 2019) as a helper in Palawan, Philippines

Adelyn worked in a flat with 8-bedrooms, 5-toilets, 2-living room and 2-kitchen for a family of 11 with a 4- and 9-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

(Nov 2019 – Nov 2024)

Stayed home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Saudi Arabia.

8 months (Dec 2024 – Aug 2025) as a helper in Saudi Arabia

Adelyn worked in a 2-storey house with 12-bedrooms, 8-toilets, 3-living room and 2-kitchen for a family of 8 with a 2-, 8- and 69-year-old diabetic female, and she looked after their welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.  

(Sep 2025 – present)

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and currently, works as a part-time canteen helper. 



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino and basic Arabic dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. 



Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk and meals, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, dressed and sent them to school, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In Saudi Arabia, she prepared her meals, administered her medications and insulin, attended to and assisted in her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. In her local experience, she groomed and fed three dogs, kept clean the pet areas.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
