Experiences

1 year 11 months (Aug 2015 – Jul 2017) as a helper in Singapore

Elsie worked in a condo with 2-bedrooms and toilets for a Chinese family of 4 with an 11-month-old, and she looked after her welfare. She cleans and tidy the house, does laundry, ironing and folding.

(Aug 2017 – Oct 2017)

Returned home, spent time with her family and applied to work in Hongkong.

2 years (Nov 2017 – Nov 2019) as a helper in Hongkong

Elsie worked in a flat with 3-bedrooms and 2-toilets for a Chinese family of 4 with a 5-year-old, and she looked after her welfare, together with a co-helper. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better helper.

Returns home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.


Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes, such as steam fish, stir-fried vegetables etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk, meals and fed the infant, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, kept company and soothed them to sleep, watched over their playing and safety, administered vitamins and medications, accompanied them outdoor for sunshine and relaxation, tutored and supervised their schoolwork, read story books, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
