Experiences

1 year 5 months (Mar 2023 – Aug 2024) as a helper in Hongkong

Joy Ann worked in a flat with 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a Chinese family of 5 with a newborn and 2-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a co-helper. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, wash and clean kitchen and utensils after use, does laundry.

(Aug 2024 – Oct 2024)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Hongkong. 

4 months (Oct 2024 – Feb 2025) as a helper in Hongkong

Joy Ann worked in a 3-storey house with 5-bedrooms, 5-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Chinese family of 4, together with a co-helper. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, assist to prepare and cook for the family, wash and clean kitchen and utensils after use, laundry, ironing and folding, tend to garden and plant watering. In all these, she learned to manage her work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.   

(Mar 2025 – present)

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities. 
  

Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Hongkong, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes. 



Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In Hongkong, she prepared their milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, kept company and soothed them to sleep, accompanied them for outdoor activities, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the mobile elderly. 



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. While in Hongkong, she fed a turtle and kept clean the pet’s cage.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
