Adelaida 43 separated with an 11-, 20 and 23-year-old, and the 3rd child in the family of 10 siblings. She wants to work in Singapore to support and save up for her family, and she is from Bohol, Philippines.

3 years (Oct 2005 – Oct 2008) as a helper in Lebanon

Adelaida worked in a bungalow with 4-bedrooms, 5-toilets, 3-living room and a kitchen for a Lebanese family of 7. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, assist to prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, wash and clean the family car. 

(Nov 2008 – Aug 2009)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Saudi Arabia.

2 years 6 months (Sep 2009 – Mar 2012) as a helper in Saudi Arabia

Adelaida worked in a bungalow with 2-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Syrian couple. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, assist to prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, wash and clean the family car, tend to garden and plant watering. 

(Apr 2012 – Feb 2018)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Hongkong.

4 years (Mar 2018 – Mar 2022) as a helper in Hongkong

Adelaida worked in a 4-storey house with 4-bedrooms, 5-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Chinese family of 7 with a 3-, 6- and 8-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a co-helper. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, assist to prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding, wash and clean the family car, tend to garden and plant watering. 

(Apr 2022 – Jul 2022)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Hongkong.

2 years 8 months (Aug 2022 – Apr 2025) as a helper in Hongkong

Adelaida worked in a 3-storey house with 4-bedrooms, 4-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Chinese family of 3 with a 2-year-old autistic child and she looked after his welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed her work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences. 

(May 2025 – present)

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.
  

Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic and Chinese dishes, such as molokhia, chicken curry, maqlubi pattos, steam fish etc. 



Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants. In Hongkong, she prepared their milk, meals and fed them, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed with fresh clothing and diapers, dressed and sent them to-and-fro from school, accompanied them for outdoor activities, tutored and supervised schoolwork, watched over their playing, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. While in Hongkong, she groomed and fed the dogs, kept clean the pet areas. 



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
