3 years 10 months (Oct 2018 – Aug 2022) as a helper in Saudi Arabia

Ailene worked in a 3-storey house with 5-bedrooms, 7-toilets, 4-living room, 2-kitchen, a garage and mini garden for an Arabian family of 6 with a 3-, 5- and 6-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with 2 co-helpers. Daily, she assisted co-helpers in household chores.

Returned home, spent time with her family and applied to work in Kuwait.   

2 years 2 months (Nov 2022 – Jan 2025) as a helper in Kuwait

Ailene worked in a 2-storey house with 6-bedrooms, 4-toilets, 3-living room, 2-kitchen, a garage and garden for an Arabian family of 9 with a 68-year-old diabetic female, and she looked after her welfare. Daily, she cleans and tidy the elderly’s bedroom and toilet, prepare and cook for the elderly, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she learned to manage her work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, spend time with her family and seek new job opportunities.



Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic dishes, such as kabsa chicken, macaroni etc.


Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants. In Saudi Arabia, she prepared their meals and fed them, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, watched over their playing and safety, dressed and get them ready for school, accompanied them for outdoor activities, attended to and assisted in their needs.


Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In Kuwait, she prepared her meals and fed her, administered her vitamins and medications, accompanied her for outdoor activities, attended to and assisted in her needs.


Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets. 


Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.


Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.


2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.


Recommendation

In summary, Ailene is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
