Experiences

1 year (May 2011 – May 2012) as a helper in Kuwait

Novema worked in a condo with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and small kitchen for a Kuwaiti family of 4 with a 3- and 4-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a co-helper. Daily, she assist co-helper in housekeeping chores, prepare and cook for the children, laundry, ironing and folding, wash and clean the family car.

2 years 2 months (May 2012 – Jul 2014) as a helper in Kuwait

Novema worked in a 3-storey landed property with 5-bedrooms, 4-toilets, 2-living room, a guest room and big kitchen for a Kuwaiti Iranian family of 8 with a 9-month-old, 14-, 19- and 22-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a co-helper and driver. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

(Aug 2014 – Oct 2021)

Returned home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Singapore.

2 years 1 month (Nov 2021 – Dec 2023) as a helper in Singapore

Novema worked in an HDB flat with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Singaporean family of 7 with a 3-, 6- and 9-year-old, and she looked after their welfare, together with a co-helper. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding.

11 months (Dec 2023 – Nov 2024) as a helper in Singapore

Novema worked in an HDB flat with 3-bedrooms, 3-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a 77-year-old female. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the elderly, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better helper.

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.


Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In her previous experience, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic and Chinese dishes, such as salads, chicken machboos, chicken marag, steamed fish and chicken etc.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looked after her own since birth. In her previous experience, she prepared their milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, dressed and get them ready for school, kept company and soothed them to sleep, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
