10 years (Oct 2012 – Oct 2022) as a helper in Kuwait

Gemma worked in a 3-storey house with 8-bedrooms, 5-toilets, 2-living room and a kitchen for an Arabian family of 4 with a 68-year-old bedridden female, and she looked after her welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new job opportunities.


Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Kuwait, she prepared and cooked basic Arabic dishes, such as chicken biryani.



Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. She prepared their milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed them with fresh clothing and diapers, administered their vitamins and medications, dressed and get them ready for school, attended to and assisted in their needs.



Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In Kuwait, she prepared her meals and fed her, changed her with fresh clothing, attended to and assisted in her needs.



Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.



Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.



Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.



2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.



Recommendation

In summary, Gemma is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
